Larkyn meets her cousins! First trip to Wisconsin Rapids...

We arrived in Wisconsin Rapids Friday night and were so excited to see our niece and nephew Breally and Cayden were there when we arrived. They were even more excited to meet and hold Larkyn! We were in the house for maybe a couple of minutes and both kids had washed their hands and were waiting patiently to hold her! Larkyn had so much fun meeting her cousins. When she was awake she would just look up at them and watch their every movements. She even tooted a couple times on Cayden and he thought it was hilarious! Uncle Gene asked Cayden what he would rather do if he had the choice of playing baseball or babysitting Larkyn. He answered "both". Later he told Gene he would actually rather hold and watch Larkyn! We found this to be true later in the weekend because after dinner he opted out of a game of basketball with Kiki and ended up holding Larkyn for over a half hour! Breally was also very interested in Larkyn. She watched closely to diaper changes, loved to hold her and play with her, and took many pictures of her with her camera. Larkyn is so blessed have such wonderful cousins to care for her and play with her!

Grandpa Charlie had to work all day Saturday so he was able to get his time with Larkyn on Friday night as she slept in his arms. He was thrilled to have the cuddling time with her!

We watched the Kentucky Derby on Saturday afternoon. Cayden and Megan picked out numbers for each of us to see which horse we would be following for the race. Larkyn had her fancy "hat" on for the big race. Her horses did not win, nor did Mom's horse. Guen's horse won first prize, Cayden's got 2nd and Shea's got 3rd.

Megan served Mint Juleps, the traditional beverage of the Kentucky Derby.

Great Aunt Kiki and Uncle Tim came from California. We always enjoy seeing Kiki and it was great to finally meet Tim! We hope he is able to come back again with Kiki soon!

Cayden couldn't get enough of little Larkyn! He even wrote a poem about her at school.
