We spent Thanksgiving in Wisconsin with Shea's family. It was a pretty low key Thanksgiving and weekend as some of us didn't feel well and others were very tired! It was a great relaxing time with family. Black Friday wasn't nearly as cool at 10 pm/midnight on Thanksgiving night as it was last year at 3 or 4 am. There were way too many high schoolers and younger kids out for no reason and there weren't that many great deals. I think we were more tired too! After getting out of Walmart, we sat in the parking lot at Target for an hour before getting in line. We didn't need anything pressing so we decided to wait until the doors opened before getting out of our car. Well, once the line started moving and we got up to the store we noticed the line was wrapped around 5 or 6 times the length of the side of the store. Not to mention they were only letting in small groups of people at a time. So onto the next store we went, with no time for Target! Surprisingly enough we checked quite a bit off our list for buying gifts for others in our short time out and about. We were home by 2 and ready for bed!
In the morning, our little turkey girl enjoyed watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. When it wasn't on the TV she was asking for it and probably asked about the Macy's parade for a couple weeks after Thanksgiving!
Larkyn loved May May's village this year. She was very good about looking and not touching. How could you not want to touch and play with everything on this table!?
Yes...it is 3 levels and takes up most of the livingroom!
Later on Thanksgiving morning we went out to visit Papa Buzz's (Shea's Grandpa) grave site and add a wreath.
Larkyn and Sis
The whole gang...
Getting ready for the Packer game with Grandpa Charlie.
The annual family photo in front of the Christmas tree...
Larkyn loved the village and wanted to look at it often. We had to take turns lifting her up. Janny took many turns thankfully!
We took a time out from the Packer game to see Santa come through on the Macy's parade...
Sis taught Shea had to make gravy...wahoo!
We went outside to see Janny's lights. Larkyn loved Baby Jesus and the Nativity Scene.
Friday night we went downtown for the parade, lights and Santa. It was a nice night for a parade and Larkyn enjoyed the sites.
Well...some of them. She hid behind Shea quite often as the characters came along to pass out candy.
Mickey Mouse? Not the one from the Clubhouse!
Santa ended the parade...
Larkyn did wave to him!
After the parade we walked across the bridge to view the different light displays.
On Saturday, Larkyn enjoyed reading, playing and entertaining everyone. Kiki always plays so well with the kids and Larkyn loved her!
They could have played with the Little People House for hours!
We got to see Grandpa Art on our trip too! He met us for breakfast at Perkins. Larkyn loves big squeezes from Grandpa Art!
I couldn't resist posting this video. Larkyn was "reading" a book and started doing this new laughing thing. She saw right away the attention it attracted and took off with it. Quite the comedian and center of attention...that's for sure!
