A new look...
Camdyn got her first haircut tonight! (If you don't count the little straggly hairs I cut off when she was a baby!) She was a perfect customer and sat very still for the stylist. She couldn't stop smiling! We ended up taking off 10 inches and we plan to donate her hair to an organization. We needed 12 inches for wigs 4 kids, but 10 should work for Locks of Love.

Camdyn's first day of preschool
Camdyn had her first two days of preschool this week. She was so excited and so ready. So excited in fact that I think it disrupted her sleep patterns...or was that the continuous nights of thunder and lightning? Last night...no storms...she slept through the night!
Camdyn has the same preschool room and preschool teachers as Larkyn did when she was three. The familiarity helps! On her first full day without parents Camdyn enjoyed making a craft, playing with a new friend named Abigail, playing ball in the gym, reading a story about friends, and eating a snack.

Our big three year old starting Preschool!
Larkyn and Camdyn's best attempt at a "selfie"!
Best buds! Finally a chance for Camdyn to have her chance at school...

First Day of Kindergarten
Larkyn had her first day of Kindergarten on Tuesday, September 8th. She was so excited to go to school, though she did say she was kind of nervous! Her favorite part of the day was going to the library and getting to check out a book. Her least favorite part of the day was having to wait to go to school because she just wanted to be at school! I was able to see her a couple times throughout the day, one being lunch, so that was fun for me (and her I think!). She has already met a friend in her class that she connected with during open house. Her name is Stella. Larkyn is ready to go back for another great day of learning!

Maddux through the months
Maddux turned 6 months this past week. It is so hard to believe it has been 6 months since this little (big) guy came into our lives. He is such a good baby, with a lot of smiles and giggles to share. We took him for his 6 month well check today and he weighed in at 19 lbs even. I thought for sure he was over 20, but he surprised us! 19 lbs is apparently only the 75th percentile for weight, which fits proportionately with his 27.5 inch long body, also 75th percentile. His head on the other hand is in the 90th percentile still, but we just attribute that to his big and growing brain!
Maddux is rolling to get everywhere, though he has done some reaching and moving forward recently. His sisters are working to keep their little toys out of reach, as well as anything they don't want in his mouth. He is not eating solid foods consistently yet, because the few times we have tried he has not shown much interest in it. We began with oatmeal a couple weeks ago and he projectile vomit two days in a row. We gave him a little break and then tried a green vegetable. Currently, he is not a lover of food, other than Mama's milk which he likes to consume during the night now. He went from sleeping 9 hours a stretch to waking up to eat almost every 3 to 4 hours...UGH!
Below are picture collages of Maddux in the last 6 months. It is amazing to see how much he has grown and how his personality shines. He truly brings smiles to our face every minute of every day. He is a strong boy, that likes to stand on our lap, snuggle in for a hug, sit up for a story, play in his excersaucer, giggle with his sisters, and much more. We are grateful for Maddux each and every day, and so thankful God blessed us with such a wonderful little boy.

Cupcakes!
The girls got to visit Scratch Cupcakery, where their aunt Courtney works. They got to go back behind the scenes and watch the bakers and frosters at work. They also got to decorate some cupcakes while they were back there. Lately, they have been busy putting together cupcake combinations using their Princess Cupcake game. Sometimes they pretend to be Courtney and Kat (my cousin that now works there too) at their own Scratch store. Thank you to Courtney for making this tour happen!

Look out Kindergarten...here she comes!
Larkyn had Passport to Kindergarten tonight. Though a little shy, she enjoyed looking around and checking out her new school. Her favorite part was for sure the bus ride. We couldn't get out there fast enough!
She enjoyed reading the word wall...especially the word "mom".
