Kyra's Klan Walk for CF

We were all ready to head north to Lake Calhoun for the walk for Cystic Fibrosis and I walk into Larkyn's bedroom to find this...

She had cleared out all of her shorts and skirts and was working on her pants.

We walked a 5K in honor of Kyra who continues to battle the everyday struggles CF.  This is a picture of all of Kyra's walkers.  "Kyra's Klan"

Noelle and Claire joined in on the walking too...

Larkyn loved the wagon ride for about half the lake and then enjoyed being in my arms for the remainder of it.  She was quite tired and warm that morning.

We had a picnic lunch after the walk.  Claire enjoyed holding Larkyn.

The girls took Larkyn for a walk after the picnic.

Kyra gave Larkyn a bye-bye hug and thanked her for coming.  May May also joined us for the walk because she was in town for a few days filling in for daycare and watching Larkyn.

Easter 2011

Easter seems so long ago, considering I'm writing this in July!  We were fortunate to celebrate Easter with both families in Wisconsin and Iowa.  We spent a weekend in early April spending time with Shea's family.  Kiki was back from California, so it was fun getting an extra weekend with her too, as well as Larkyn's cousins Breally and Cayden.

Larkyn loved taking apart the plastic eggs and putting them in and out of the basket.

Larkyn looked like a vendor at a ball game! "Peanuts...Popcorn!"

Dying eggs turned into a messy experience!

"Oooh this looks good...can I eat it?"

We went to watch Erica and Maisie play softball too!  Grandpa Charlie enjoyed walking around with Larkyn.

A quick family pic in between games...

Larkyn wanted to try out as catcher...

Larkyn was so excited to hang out with her cousins. They play so well together and love being together.

The kids after their Easter basket hunt...

We spent Easter weekend in Iowa.  Larkyn enjoyed the second round of dying Easter eggs, spending time with cousins, and going on hunts.  This time around we stripped her down to her diaper knowing that she would be getting "colorful" again!

Larkyn taking a turn with the ears...

Look at how much they have grown since last Easter!!!

This year Larkyn and McKenna were able to walk together, talk together and laugh together!

After church we went to my grandparent's house to search for eggs and eat lunch.

Another family pic for Easter...

Make sure you have some time before clicking below!  I might have gone a little camera crazy.

Baseball fun in Winona...

The first weekend in April we went to Winona to meet up with some family and friends.  Some of Shea's friends from college were there to watch the baseball games for the weekend.  It was great spending time with Jason and Jenny, Kyle and Kristin and their family, Brian and Trevor, Rich and Amber and their family, Tara, Gove and Tweeten.  On our way into town we stopped by the park down by the lakes to see some of my family that were in town to help my sister Courtney celebrate her birthday.

They played touch football as we watched and cheered from the side.

Aunt Courtney was excited to have Larkyn in Winona to visit.

After the park we ventured on to the ball park to watch the WSU Warriors play baseball.

Trevor has grown up so much and so fast!

We went back to the hotel to swim, eat dinner and hang out with our friends.  Larkyn was more interested in unpacking the suitcase than eating.  She was also very aware of how to use Mama's straightener.

Larkyn's first time in the pool.  Hard to believe she had never been in a pool before a year old!

She enjoyed splashing and loved the water that shot up from the bottom of the pool.

We sang "Happy Birthday" to Courtney, Luke and Shea and celebrated with pizza and cake.

It was so good to see Brian and Trevor over the weekend.

We got to meet Weston too!

Grandma Debbie watched Larkyn while we hung out in the lobby.

Sunday morning Larkyn went swimming again with Emersyn.  She warmed up a little more to the idea of "swimming".

Before we left Winona we took Courtney out for a birthday lunch to Jefferson's.

We continued the celebration at home with dinner and gifts for Shea.

We gave Daddy some of his favorites.  Pancakes, Mt. Dew, Baby Ruth, Point Special, and then a couple extras including a new pair of running shoes, a book, and photos.
